About Us

We are a small group of writers, translators, editors, artists and graphic designers from various countries who share a passion for Portugal. Our work is diverse, but we aim to publish quality writing, both general fiction and non-fiction, and particularly writing about Portugal. Our aims are not solely commerically driven so we will consider works that mainstream publishers have overlooked. We aim to publish both fiction and non-fiction in English, German and Portuguese. We publish using print on demand - except in exceptional cases when traditional printing is called for. We are also in the process of digitilising our books so that they can be purchased as PDFs and/or EPUB files. Not all of the books on sale here are published by Montanha Books, but those that aren't have been published independently.
